CYM Curriculum
CYM Youth Sunday
At Agapé Christian Ministries we are privileged to serve with our children in ministry every 5th Sunday. Youth Sunday is the opportunity for our children and youth to lead the worship services. They serve as Praise & Worship leaders, prayer leaders, and we look foraward to them preaching the Word during Youth Sunday, in the future. We are blessed when our children and youth prepare a special dance performance to share on Youth Sunday. The excitement is palpable in the room when they dance and offer their worship this way. Youth Sunday is also a great opportunity for our children to experience various Christian Rap artists since “rap music” is a favorite.
We affectionately refer to the Children and Youth Ministry as C.Y.M. This ministry is our investment in the present and future generations. C.Y.M is the place where our children and youth receive ministry at their level and in ways that are most effective to meet their needs. At Agapé we believe the words penned in Psalms 127:3- “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” Put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt to join us at Agapé for a 5th Sunday celebration of Jesus with C.Y.M.
What Parents Should Know
It is our intent to provide the best possible care for your child and meet their needs at all times. In helping us provide the best possible care for your child, please review the following guidelines:
- Place your child’s name on everything.
- Always pack a change of clothes in your child’s diaper bag. Parents should bring extra diapers, training pants and a complete change of clothing any time your child is brought to the nursery.
- Give the teacher your child’s feeding schedule and keep it up to date as changes occur.
- Please pack bottles only. Baby food will not be given and formula should be pre-mixed.
- Inform the teacher of any food allergies that your child might have.
- All liquids should be brought in plastic bottles or disposable containers labeled with your child’s name.
- Remember that only adults may pick up preschoolers.
- Parents must remain on Agapé Christian Ministries’ campus during regularly scheduled worship times, classes and events where childcare is provided. This ensures that we are able to reach you in case of an emergency.
- Please be sure to sign your child in and out of the nursery by using the sign-in sheet provided at the door.
- We are not responsible for personal items left in diaper bags such as billfolds, car keys, cell phones, etc.
- We cannot give your child medication.
Prayer Requests
This class is multi-dimensional yet focused in its design and scope. The topics covered range from a fewbasic principles to others that delve a little deeper into God’s Word for the purpose of effective application of the Bible in your daily life. Whenever possible, both parts (I & II) of this course will be offered at the same time during the Fall and Spring semesters to make available to take it in sequence. Each part (I or II) of Perfecting Class is scheduled to run for approximately 15-17 weeks each to equal a total commitment of 30-34 weeks if taken in sequence. The course may also be taken out sequence (Part II before Part I). However, both parts must be completed in order to receive a certificate of completion in the course. The prerequisites for enrollment include: completing Spiritual Growth Class and The Agapé Class. It is also recommended that you take Perfecting Class in series as Part I followed by Perfecting Part II.
See the Course List that is released in the Spring (late January) and the Fall (late August) to determine when each part of Perfecting Class is being offered.

Agapé Chrsitian Ministries is committed to developing the future generation of leaders. We are admonished to train them in the ways of God. We believe this training will instill character and integrity as well as prepare them to be good citizens in a world that is ever-changing. Wellness Policy
For the protection of all the children and staff in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, ring worm, rash, diaper rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the nursery or enroll them in CYM on that Sunday or Thursday.
